Principal's Message

Dear Cardinals,

My name is Amy Richardson, and I am the very proud Principal of R.J. Longstreet! It is my honor to serve the students, staff, families, and community of this magnificent school. Here at Longstreet, all staff work together to ensure all our students are excelling. Our teachers have high expectations and work hard to provide the best education possible for our Cardinals. When you step foot on our campus, you immediately feel welcomed! Longstreet is a place where student voice is valued and expected during parent/teacher conferences.

I bring experience as an intermediate elementary teacher (grades 3rd & 5th), Exceptional Student Education Teacher (grades K-5th), Administrative Teacher on Assignment, and Assistant Principal. I believe that we must do what is best for students and have an inclusive environment while celebrating and recognizing progress. Achievement occurs when all stakeholders work together, and students have a voice in their learning. I believe students thrive in a fun, vibrant, welcoming environment that sets and holds high expectations.
